The following section covers the journey of a prospective learner from initially finding out about the scheme, through to receiving payment.

Step 1   Learner seeks information about Funding

Step 2   Learner applies for Funding
Support for applicants is available from the following sources:

• FTC- Business brokers will guide you through available funding options to help pay for training.
• FTC – Call handlers will guide learners through the application process, learners can apply online or complete a partial application via telephone.
• FTC Training Managers – FTC Training Team are encouraged to Support and advice to learners in applying for the scheme, walking learners through the process, where necessary.

Step 3   The learner’s application is assessed
Based on the information provided on the Application Form and the supporting evidence the learner’s eligibility is assessed. If the learner is successful they will be sent a Notice of Entitlement (NoE). If the Learner’s application is unsuccessful they will be informed and the reasons why explained.

Step 4   Learner takes the NoE into the FTC
On receipt of the NoE FTC confirms this on the Learning Provider Portal (LPP) and enrolls the learner.

Step 5   The learner begins to receive payments.
Once enrolled, the learner receives their payment.
